We are exposed daily to UV rays, free radicals, pollution and smoke in our environment and this contributes silently to premature skin aging and skin damage. Which part of my body needs skin lightening?

Skin Lightening can be applied to any part of the body that has suffered from over exposure to the sun. The face, hands and upper chest, in particular, are prone to sun damage and aging. Brown or tan skin will benefit from this treatment, improving skin tone and clarity.

How soon can I expect to see the results?

Generally a series of ten skin peels is given, together with take-home products containing the same lightening agent to augment effects of the treatment. Results can be expected after about five treatments and this will continue for some months.

What is the treatment like?

Treatment consists of skin lightening Fruit Acid (AHA) Peels. Eight to twelve light peels are done over a period of three months, combined with topical AHA skin products to enhance the effectiveness of our skin lightening program. Faster results can also be achieved when the treatment is combined with a vitamin ‘A’ Retinoic acid-based cream.

Is it safe?

Absolutely. Your skin may be red for a few days after the peel. This is a normal reaction. Be aware that because your skin is lighter, it will be more sensitive to sunburn so a sunblock must be worn when you are outdoors.

Are there any side-effects?

You will be given a skin test before treatment to ensure that you are not allergic to any of the products used.
