Where can this treatment be applied?

How does the Fruit Acid Peel work?

Fruit Acid Peels treat the entire face, removing the outer layer of damaged skin cells to reveal new, rejuvenated skin. With deeper peels, new, rejuvenated skin is formed. The fruit acids stimulate the skin to produce additional natural collagen which assists to fill in fine lines, acne scars and wrinkles for a more uniform, softer, smoother skin.

What is the treatment like?

A series of peels is performed using a glycolic acid product applied to skin. Peels can vary from mild to deep peels, varying in strength from 20-70 %, depending on the existing condition of the skin and the desired individual results. Generally, six peels are performed over three months with another peel every four to six months after, as clinically indicated. A take-home product is used in conjunction with the peel for achieving even skin tone or an AHA pigmentation cream may be advised.

What will my face look like after a Fruit Acid Peel?

Depending on the depth and strength of the peel, your face may show some degree of redness for up to four days following your treatment. You may prefer to stay indoors and avoid the sun. Your ARC doctor will advise you on exactly what to expect and do after your treatment.
